Habitat for Humanity build

Rotarians needed to help with Rotary Edmonton's Habitat for Humanity build on April 29th 8:30 am to 4:00 pm.   Habitat for Humanity Edmonton is building 75 of the 150 homes for across Canada in the Edmonton and Fort Saskatchewan area July 9 to 14th, 2017.  At this time the former U.S. President Jimmy Carter and his wife will be visiting Edmonton.   In the meantime, the components of the homes will be assembled in the warehouse by volunteers.    Contact Rick LeMieux at rlemieux@interbaun.com
 
 
 

Work Day is Saturday April 29, 2017 at Carter Place: 2216  - 24 Street.  Driving Directions and Map are available on website of:  www.hfh.org/carter-work-project

-          Orientation will be first thing in the morning at 8:30 am.  You must take orientation before you will be allowed on the work site, so don’t be late.

-          Shift is from 8:30 am. To 4:00 pm.

-          Dress Code: no tank tops, sleeveless shirts, open toed shoes, shorts, capris or dresses.  Wear close fitting clothing, and dress for the weather.

-          Bring your own work gloves and water bottles, which can be refilled on site.

-          Bring a hat to wear underneath their hard hat if it is cold weather.

-          You must sign Volunteer Release (Waiver) and Oath of Confidentiality prior to our Build Day.

-          Youths 16-17 years must have a parent or legal Guardian sign their waiver form & have it submitted to Habitat for Humanity 2 bus. Days before our Build.

-          Volunteers will be provided with: Hard Hats, CSA green triangle footwear and safety goggles.

-          Lunch is provided, as well as coffee.  If you have special dietary needs please bring your own lunch.

-          Bring snacks for your morning and afternoon breaks (optional).
