"Junior Achievement of Northern Alberta and NWT

Junior Achievement is the world’s largest organization dedicated to educating students about work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy through experiential, hands-on programs. We are spread over 122 countries around the world and reach over 9.7 million students per year.

For over 50 years, Junior Achievement of Northern Alberta & NWT has engaged and inspired students from grades 3 to 12 in classrooms across Edmonton, Northern Alberta and the Northwest Territories. JA is the only organization in Alberta and NWT that teaches students about entrepreneurship, work readiness, and financial literacy at all levels of the school system. JA’s free, curriculum-based programs are delivered by local volunteers bringing the real world into the classroom; the value is in the ‘real world’ perspective.

JA registers nearly 1000 programs and reach over 25,000 students a year and are continuing to expand their reach.  This is all possible through a partnership between the business community, educators, and volunteers who work together to inspire young people to reach their dreams and tap into their potential.
