President and Chief Executive Officer, Alberta Enterprise Corporation (AEC)
Kristina Williams oversees the management of the $350M Alberta Enterprise Fund with its 20 venture capital fund investments and the underlying portfolio of more than 200 technology companies. Kristina also oversees AEC's industry development activities, creating access to external markets and mentors for Canadian entrepreneurs.
She is a member of the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology Board of Governors and the North American Construction Group (NYSE/TSX: NOA) Board of Directors. She serves on the Alberta Securities Commission New Economy Advisory Committee, and she is the Honorary Consul for Sweden in Northern Alberta.

Rennie Houle was born and raised in Whitefish Lake First Nation #128/ Goodfish Lake. He is a devoted advocate for his community and his determination and commitment go beyond his day-to-day duties as an Employment & Training Program Manager over the past 15 years. As a persuasive campaigner for his community, he is endlessly connecting strong partnerships with Industry. His involvement has stimulated the growth of their First Nation owned businesses “Goodfish Lake Development Ltd.” which has grown substantially and recently awarded an Alberta Chamber of Commerce award and has brought long term meaningful employment opportunities in various sectors of Industry. He is a promoter, visionary, connector, risk taker, committed, determined Indigenous leader open to all forms of partnerships that will benefit to all involved. |

Edmonton Federation of Community Leagues

Ryan Barber- President-EFCL Bio: Ryan has been an active board member for the EFCL for over 5 years. He is a fierce advocate for Leagues and their ability to mobilize Edmontonians to shape their neighbourhood. He believes strongly in Leagues as a key mechanism for grassroots democracy in the neighbourhood where everyone is welcome. Ryan has led the organization as it's President for over two years through the build of the Community League Plaza, and been actively involved at the negotiation table for the new Tripartite Agreement with the City of Edmonton. He works for the Government of Alberta, and enjoys playing and coaching football with his two boys.
Laura Cunningham-Shpeley- Executive Director- EFCL Bio: Laura is a registered social worker who has worked in health promotion for most of her career. She started with EFCL in the spring of 2018, and was thrilled to take on the position, after being on the board of her own community league for 10 years- 4 as President. Over the course of the past few years, she has supported the organization to complete the 100th Anniversary Community League Plaza down in Hawrelak Park, supported the adoption of the new Tripartite Agreement with the City of Edmonton and has developed an online resource program for all League board members to take- which is also open to any non-profit organization. EFCL Online Learning Program. Laura enjoys spending time with her family taking their COVID puppy for walks in Mill Creek ravine! |
