Liam O’Hagan is a Chartered Engineer and graduate in Mechanical Engineering from Queens University Belfast.

 He is a Fellow of the Institute of Healthcare and Environmental Management, a Fellow of the Association of Consulting Engineers, a Member of the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers and a Member of the Association of Consulting Engineers of Ireland.
 Liam joined a Consulting Engineering practice in 1978 as a design engineer and went on to become the Managing Director, Major Shareholder and Chairman of this International practice of Consulting Engineers with 12 offices located worldwide.
 He has been involved with many notable building successes in Ireland, United Kingdom, Romania, Poland, Russia, Nigeria, Libya, USA and the Middle East.
 He brings a solid network of close contacts amongst the Northern Ireland business community.
 He has a special interest in Sustainability and in particular Net Zero buildings.

NOTE the special location of this meeting at Churchill - 10015 103 Ave, for our second field trip of the year. 

There is free parking in the underground lot, accessible from the back and there will be no charge for either parking or lunch.  $10 registration fee.

Presentation:   40th anniversary of Fifendekel Pie Shop Cafe.   https://www.fifendekel.ca/    Currently in four locations in Edmonton.

Jacquie Fenske will be speaking on the history of Fifendekel.  She has been the owner of the business since 1989.  She is an entrepreneur, a collaborator, a strategist and a woman of action.

She is currently President and CEO of Experience Alberta supporting rural communities through Roadside Stand Tours encouraging tourism.

Cataract Surgery Project in Ecuador

Paul Dusseault will speak on the Rotary Club of Edmonton Riverview Cataract surgery project in Ecuador.

Riverview Rotary has supported this project for over 21 years.  Dr. Tom Greidanus, a local Orthopedic Surgeon, started Riverview Rotary’s actions in Ecuador and introduced them to the Rotary Club of Tomebamba Ecuador. A relationship that has served and benefited many.  

The Riverview club is now actively planning their second mission to Cuenca Ecuador to provide cataract surgery and eye care to those most in need.
