In the German education system, she studied law and is a certified knowledge management system developer. Working in IT, she has managed projects on all levels and all types of business environments and was responsible for the business relationship between the largest energy provider in Europe with Microsoft, and SAP before moving to Canada.
Living in Canada, professionally she started as a Licenced Immigration Consultant and is now working with her husband Chris in their own IT and Security company.
Being involved in all kinds of things her whole life, Myrna received an award for outstanding involvement in extracurricular activities from her high school, was the first female chair of the law student council of the University of Wuerzburg and was a member of the cross-faculty student council.
Right now, residing on an acreage in Parkland County, she is on the board of a horse rescue and the family consists of 3 dogs, 4 cats, 4 horses and 3 foster horses – but that’s a very fluent condition. Her husband Chris was a Rotarian in Germany – in a Club that allowed women to become members in 2011. Learning and experiencing the differences in the world of Rotary, she joined the Rotary Club of Spruce Grove in Nov 2015, hosted Youth Exchange Students, and joined the District Youth Exchange Team in 2018. She was president of the Rotary Club of Spruce Grove in 2022-2023, is currently Assistant Governor for District 5370 for Area 5 and is visiting today in her role as chair of District 5370's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee.
