Ward pihêsiwin Councillor Tim Cartmell was first elected to Edmonton City Council in 2017. In 2021 he was elected for his second term on City Council.
Tim is a Professional Engineer and small business owner. He specializes in the structural design and management of building projects, including past projects like the Expo Centre for Northlands and three seniors lodges for the Greater Edmonton Foundation. Prior to serving in public office, Tim also worked for the Government of Alberta's Ministry of Treasury Board and Finance.
Tim currently serves on a variety of initiatives, including and not limited to: A variety of positions in relation to the Edmonton Metropolitan Region Board; Member of the Alberta Municipalities Infrastructure Committee; Advisor to the Edmonton Sport Council Board of Directors; and Member of the Board of Directors for the Fort Edmonton Park Management Company.
Instructions for accessing this meeting at City Hall as security is now beefed up at City Hall:
Parking is recommended at the Library parkade. You will need to climb stairs to ground floor and walk outside through Churchill Square to the east side of City Hall.
The only doors at City Hall that are open to the public are the East and West doors. Best to enter the East door and walk westward down the hallway into the front entrance area. Turn right (northward) towards Security. Once passed Security turn right or Eastward and then turn right again (South) a short distance down hallway to Heritage room on the left hand side.
- With regards to security checks, all event participants and guests will go through security screening. External guests enter through a dedicated entry point, which includes a scan and a bag check. Based on the size and attendance of the event, participants should arrive early to avoid delays to the event proceeding. If possible avoid bringing large bags or backpacks
- The City Hall Parkade is closed to the public
- Stairwells and Elevators - Stairwells are locked for emergency use only and elevators require City of Edmonton identification cards to operate
