Supporting Inner City High School’s Nutrition Program – November 17, 2025

On Monday, November 17, 2025, members of our Community Service Committee—Neil Lang and J.J. Tremblay—visited Inner City High School (ICHS) to present a cheque of $4,500 in support of the 2025–2026 School Year Nutrition Program.

This initiative plays a vital role at ICHS, where many students come from low-income households and do not have guaranteed access to nutritious meals. By helping provide consistent nourishment, the school ensures that students are better prepared to learn, thrive, and focus on their education without the distractions that hunger creates.

Each year, ICHS serves an estimated 14,283 meals, reflecting both the scale of the need and the school’s unwavering dedication to student well-being.

During the visit, our Club also presented a Rotary Certificate of Recognition to Jeff Day, Technology | Communications | Partnerships, marking our fourth consecutive year supporting this essential program. The presentations took place inside the school’s commercial kitchen, where students help prepare and serve meals—building life skills and community engagement.

We thank ICHS staff and students for their warm hospitality and their commitment to providing a safe and supportive learning environment. Our Rotary Club is proud to continue this partnership and to contribute to the health and success of youth in Edmonton’s inner city.
