Please note there is a venue change for this meeting.

The meeting will be held at the Kids in the Hall Bistro at City Hall. All seats have been sold for this event and the club is unable to host additional members or guests for this meeting only.

The speakers this Thursday will be Kelley and Christopher Polowy. In June 06, 2006 Kelley's younger brother Christopher spent a week  at the Stollery Hospital after coming down with a rare condition called Kawasaki Disease. It caused his skin to break out in a severe rash, his joints to ache, and the arteries to his heart to enlarge. He has since recovered, but his sister Kelley just couldn't get the hospital out of her mind. " All she wanted for Christmas was toys for the kids" her Mother Gloria said. Kelley's first initiative was to painting and decorating cards, wrapping paper and Christmas ornaments to sell at her own art sale in her West Edmonton neighbourhood.

Dianne Young, then President and CEO of the Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation, is impressed by Kelley's community spirit. "What is important is that a child of that age get's it,"  she said. "They get that they can make a difference, and to me that is more important than any dollar amount that they raise".

Kelley will be telling her story.
