Steve Hogle is the Vice President of Communications and Public Affairs with the Katz Group.  His focus is squarely on the Edmonton Arena and Entertainment District, a project slated to be built on a 16 acre parcel of land in downtown Edmonton.

Before joining Katz Group one year ago, Steve was the Vice President of Communications and Public Affairs at the Alberta Research Counciul, now Alberta Innovates Technology Futures.  He spent three years working with a variey of stakeholders and promoting the value of science and innovation in the province of Alberta.

 The majority of Steve's career - almost 30 years - was spent in the media, including stops in Camrose, Red Deer, Japan and Edmonton, where he spent 25 years at CTV Edmonton, becoming the third Hogle to hold the position of Director of News and Public Affiars.  He was proud to watch his new team capture a variety of awards over the years, ranging from Edward R. Murrow Awards for international recognition to Radio and Television News Directors Awards for national honours to a Canadian Association of Broadcasters Trophy for the Best Newscast in Canada,

Steve's numerous volunteer activities in the community include roles with Ronald McDonald House, the Manning Awards, Salute to Excellence, Canadian Athletic Club and Youth for Christ, the last of which led to an assignment to shoot documentary footage in Burundi, Africa, one of the pporest nations on earth.  His work with the United Way at the Alberta Research Council resulted in back to back Awards from the Premier of Alberta.

Steve has been married for 29 years to Cathy, a school teacher.  Together they have a son Zac, who is carrying on the family tradiiton in media, and a daughter Kirsten, who is a yogi!
