Shall Sinha was born in the same area where Gandhi practiced his first Satyagraha movement in India. Since the movement brought miraculous relief to the local people, they started treating Gandhi as a messenger of God. Shall recalls that there was hardly any aspect of his life which was not guided or influenced by Gandhi's techniques or principles. Though Shall pursued a career in Engineering, and earned undergraduate as well as graduate degrees, Gandhi's influence dominated all his interests and finally he decided to concentrate on the study, practice and dissemination of Gandhi's teachings.
