Rotary Program March 15, 2010
Wendy is a second generation Rotarian who is actively involved in Rotary at the district level as a trainer and is Chair of the Rotary Employment Partnership. Wendy is also a Past President of the Mayfield Rotary Club.
Outside of Rotary, Wendy is equally as active a President of the Alberta Association for Community Living
In her spare time Wendy also finds time for her paying job as a Principal in the firm PossibilityWorks, which specializes in staff training and leadership development. Wendy and her husband Blaine have two sons, Aaron and Kyle. Kyle, the youngest, is 15 years old and has a developmental disability.
The second team members is Bruce Uditsky. Bruce is a member of the Edmonton Sunrise Rotary Club and is currently the Executive Director of the Alberta Association for Community Living. He is recognized internationally as an advocate and leader in community inclusion and social justice for people with developmental disabilities and their families.
Bruce has served on the boards of numerous community organizations and continues to serve on a wide variety of government task forces and committees. He was a founding member of the Alberta Disabilities Forum, a federation of provincial organizations representing persons with disabilities. Bruce has been instrumental in the development of a number of unique and innovative community programs, in particular, in founding and expanding inclusive post-secondary education across Alberta and in other parts of the world.
The third team member is Janice Kroy. Janine is a customer service representative with Servus Credit Union. Janine has always enjoyed taking on new challenges. She has taken Spanish Language courses and Leadership Training courses. She has presented and taught session on self-advocacy and human rights. Janine also has extensive experience serving on several community boards.
Bruce is also an Adjunct Professor, Community Rehabilitation and Disability Studies, University of Calgary. He is the parent of two sons, one of whom has developmental disabilities.
