The featured presenter this week will be Chris Sheard, Interim Chair Capital Region Planning. You may recall that Mayor Mandel spoke of the importance of Capital Region Planning and reflected on the recent announcement. The following is Mr. Sheard's biography.

In March, 2008, Premier Stelmach appointed Christopher Sheard to the position of Interim Chair of the newly created Capital Region Board. Mr. Sheard's assignment is to bring into existence a regional planning organization for the 25 municipalities in the greater Edmonton area. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Sheard was an Edmonton lawyer and businessman active in the energy industry in various capacities since 1975.
