Richie Hall (born October 4, 1960, in San Antonio, Texas) is the head coach of the Edmonton Eskimos in the Canadian Football League. Hall played college football at Colorado State University before joining the CFL and playing defensive back for the Calgary Stampeders and Saskatchewan Roughriders from 1983-1991. Hall was a CFL All-Star in 1983 and he was part of the Roughriders' 1989 Grey Cup winning team. He also won the Tom Pate Memorial Award in 1990. Hall served as the defensive coordinator for the Roughriders for eight years before he was hired as the head coach the Eskimos. Hall becomes the first African-American head coach in the Edmonton Eskimos history.
