On Thursday, November 6, 2025, members of our Community Service Committee—Mike Bull, Kevin Murchie, and J.J. Tremblay—visited John A. McDougall Elementary School in Edmonton’s inner city to deliver our Club’s donation of $2,500 in support of the 2025–2026 School Nutrition Program.

This program provides essential daily nourishment to students who might otherwise begin their school day hungry. Proper nutrition improves learning, concentration, and overall well-being, and supporting this initiative aligns strongly with Rotary’s commitment to strengthening community health and education.

In addition to the financial donation, our representatives were pleased to present a Rotary Certificate of Recognition to School Principal Chris Simpson and Edmonton Public Schools representative Christine Simmons. The certificate acknowledges the school’s ongoing efforts to provide a safe, caring, and supportive learning environment for all children.

We are proud to partner with John A. McDougall Elementary and Edmonton Public Schools as they continue their vital work. Thank you to our committee members for representing us, and thank you to our Club members whose contributions make this kind of meaningful community support possible.
