Join the Rotary Club of Edmonton for our Annual Robert Burns Luncheon at the Chateau Lacombe.
Enjoy a Scottish-inspired buffet featuring traditional haggis and other classic Scottish selections, accompanied by bagpipe music, Burns poetry, and a celebration of Scottish heritage.
The luncheon will take place Monday, January 19 at noon, with the option to attend in person or via Zoom. January 25 marks the 266th anniversary of Robert Burns’ birth, making this gathering a timely tribute to Scotland’s most celebrated poet.
Our featured speaker, Brian Hodgson, a member of the Edmonton Burns Club, will explore Scottish history and Scottish global influence, including Scots in Canada.

Bagpiper Andy Smith will be piping in the head table at 12 noon so don't be late.
Andy Smith is a 40-year resident of St. Albert who recently retired as a pilot and businessman in the aviation business.
He took up the bagpipes in 2000 and, after honing his new musical vocation for a couple years, joined an Edmonton pipe and drum band. This led him to travelling in far off places all over the world where he played in pipe competitions and festivals.
In retirement, Andy now keeps himself active with various volunteer activities, triathlon training, and continued domestic and international travels with his wife Brenda.
Scotch will be available for purchase from the servers for those who wish a wee dram.
