The Edmonton Stingers are a Canadian professional basketball team based in Edmonton, Alberta. They compete in the Canadian Elite Basketball League and play their home games at the HIVE arena at the Edmonton Expo Centre. The Stingers' mascot is Buzz, a hornet, inspired by the CF-18 based in Cold Lake.  In 2022 the Stingers were in sixth place out of 10 teams in the league.

The Canadian Elite Basketball League is a men's professional minor league basketball organization. The CEBL was founded in 2017 and began play in 2019 with six teams competing all owned and operated by ownership group Canadian Basketball Ventures.

As of Feb 2023, Reed and two other partners, Taranvir (Tank) Vander, and James Burns, formally known as Stingers Entertainment Group, became the owners of the Edmonton Stingers club.
