Habitat for Humanity and Rotary Clubs worldwide have partnered for many years to ensure that families have safe, affordable housing.  Partnerships have included everything from volunteering locally at Re-Stores to building latrines in Zambia.  Rotarians and Habitat continue to work together to make the world a better place.
In these interesting times of Covid restrictions, the Edmonton Habitat affiliate has severely limited volunteer hours in order to keep everyone safe.  There are two major builds going on, one in Edmonton and one in Grande Prairie, the latter of which is heavily sponsored by local Rotarians.  With a donation of almost $1million, the Grande Prairie club is working to build homes for eight local families.

Because of the restrictions of the day, Habitat can really use your help.  Here are some ways that you can support your Edmonton affiliate while keeping safely distant:
  • Volunteer to deliver flyers in your neighborhood.  We have 35,000 postcards that need to get into mailboxes. Why not combine this with your daily walks? Contact Angela at 780-451-3416 ext 223
  • Donate saleable items to the Re-Stores.  Did you know that Habitat does pickups AND offers a tax receipt?  Sales at Re-Stores support our admin costs, including family programs. We accept both household and corporate donations. Call 780-479-3566
  • Make a cash donation to support our current builds and programs at hfh.org
Habitat is grateful for your support during these difficult times and values our continued partnership with Rotary. Let's work together to keep families safe!
