Why RSVP?

Your Rotary club needs you to RSVP to keep our lunch costs as low as
possible. However, just because you RSVP that you are coming, that
doesn't mean that you HAVE to come.   Your club understands that plans
change. All we're asking is that you RSVP to the best of your
knowledge. If your plans change, we just ask that you send Lovina an
email or call her to let her know. You won't be charged. And if you
don't RSVP because you don't think you can come, but on Thursday you
find yourself able to come, please come!

The reason that we are asking you to RSVP is that the Westin Hotel has
been losing money on our lunches for a while now and in these
challenging economic times, they need to either control their costs or
increase the price for lunch. The reason that the Westin has been
losing money is that they do not have good information on how many
people are coming to each lunch. If they don't know how many people
are coming, they either make too much food or not enough. Either way,
it is more expensive for the hotel. Sometimes only 60 people come and
other times 150 come, so you can see how this can make it difficult
for the Westin to make the right amount of food.

All we're asking is that you take a minute to RSVP if you think you
will be coming to come to lunch.

Club Runner has recently added a feature that allows you to respond saying that you will attend, or that you are unable to attend. Simply click on the Luncheon invitation Lovina sends out and follow the links. If you have forgotten your password please give Lovina a call and she will reset it for you.

Thank you.
